St. Thomas US Virgin Islands Real Estate Mahogany Run
Mahogany Run Condominiums are located within a gated community in Estate Lovenlund, St. Thomas, USVI. Mahogany Run is also the name of the only St. Thomas Golf Course, though it has been closed since the hurricanes in late 2017.
Mahogany Run is not just home to these condominiums, but also the location for many luxury homes. Sitting on the North Shore of the island, it offers a very central location which is about fifteen minutes drive to the East End, and about the same distance to downtown Charlotte Amalie. It is also very close to World Famous Magens Bay Beach.
These condos are most frequently used as primary residences or long term condo rentals, however they are also suitable as vacation rentals. I have always liked Mahogany Run because the buildings are spread out over a large area, versus a single tight cluster like most other condominium associations in the US Virgin Islands.
You will see a disparity in pricing for units in Mahogany Run based upon three primary of factors:
location- some units offer stellar views of the Atlantic Ocean, St. John, and the British Virgin Islands. Other units have views back towards the land/golf course. Others have just small slivers of a view or only towards the island of Hans Lollick.
Level- some buildings have two levels (Upper and Middle/walk in) while others have three levels (also include a lower level). Only the Upper units have vaulted ceilings, which tend to be desirable.
Condition- Built in the mid 1980’s, some units may be dated, while others may be recently renovated. So condition obviously plays a big part in pricing, and hopefully photos and personal viewing of condos can help towards your own personal preference.
